Helpdesk - Main Menu

Welcome to the new Online Helpdesk System. This system will allow you to log a fault with the Helpdesk online, and follow progress on resolving the fault, saving time and effort. If at any time you are unclear about what to do, click on the Help icon Help icon beside the form field you need help with, which will give you guidance on completing the form.

To log a new fault, click the Log a Fault button. This will take you to a new page for you to enter your fault details. Your name will already be included on the page, so if you are logging a fault for a colleague, you will need to enter their username in the box in the middle of the page. Once you have entered the details, click the Save Fault button, which will allow you to view the fault you have just logged.

Once you have logged a fault, you can check up on progress, see who the job has been logged to, and get a timescale for a fix by clicking the View Previously Logged Fault button. This will give you a list of all the jobs you have logged, first the open ones and then the closed ones. Click on any of these faults to view details of the fault, including the fault originally logged, a timescale for repair, and any updates by ICT staff.

When your fault has been solved, we would like to give you an opportunity to provide feedback to enable us to improve our services. Click the Provide Feedback button, which will take you to a list of closed faults that you have not yet provided feedback for. Click Add Feedback and you will be provided with a form with a text box to add your feedback. Please answer any questions you wish to answer, and any further comments can go in the text box.

As the system is still in its prototype stage, we would appreciate any feedback you have to offer, no matter how small.
